Do you specialise in Punjabi and Bollywood music?
Yes. Punjabi, Bollywood, Bhangra and Hindi dance music are core parts of DJ Jagz sets. English commercial and club music can be blended in when it suits the event and crowd.
Do you DJ Indian and Punjabi weddings?
Yes. DJ Jagz supports Punjabi, Indian and multicultural wedding celebrations, including receptions and pre-wedding events such as Jago by arrangement.
Can you mix Punjabi, Bollywood and English music?
Yes. The music can move between Punjabi, Bollywood, Bhangra, Hindi and English commercial tracks according to the crowd and the plan agreed before the event.
Do you travel outside Christchurch?
Yes. Christchurch and Canterbury are the primary service areas, and DJ Jagz can travel elsewhere in the South Island by arrangement.
Do you provide sound and lighting?
Professional DJ sound, event lighting and microphone support can be included according to the venue, guest numbers and event requirements.
Can we send a must-play and do-not-play list?
Yes. Share the songs that matter, family favourites, entrance music and anything you do not want. The list provides direction while leaving room to respond to the dance floor.
Do you take guest requests?
Guest requests can be considered when they fit the event, timing and music direction agreed with the host or couple. Must-play and do-not-play choices remain the priority.
How early should we enquire?
Enquire as soon as your date and venue are reasonably clear, especially for summer weddings, long weekends and South Island travel. If some timings are still uncertain, send the confirmed details first.
Can you perform for mixed-age family events?
Yes. Music planning can account for children, parents, grandparents and younger guests while keeping the cultural feel of the celebration.
How do we receive a quote?
Send the event date, location, duration, guest numbers and sound or lighting needs. DJ Jagz will check availability and prepare a personalised quote.
Do you provide a microphone for speeches?
Microphone support for speeches and arranged announcements is available when included in the event setup.
What information is needed to check availability?
Provide the event date, event type, venue or town, approximate guest numbers and expected start and finish time. Include whether sound, lighting or microphones are required.
